Explore sustainability and responsible consumption

6–13 July 2026
Casa Belán, Sober, Galicia, Spain

Econsumption is an international youth exchange for young people who want to better understand how everyday choices affect the environment and society. The project is organised by our partner Bregal and brings together participants from Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Romania, Italy, and Germany.

During the exchange, participants will explore responsible consumption, reflect on personal habits, and discover practical ways to live more sustainably.

What is Econsumption about?

The project creates space to reflect on personal consumption patterns, exchange ideas with other young people, and develop practical approaches to a more sustainable lifestyle.

Econsumption focuses on the connection between daily consumption and its social and environmental impact. Through interactive activities and non-formal learning, participants will look at topics such as waste reduction, sustainable habits, and social responsibility.

A special part of the exchange is the experience of living and learning together at Casa Belán, a sustainability-oriented project space in Galicia. This gives participants the opportunity not only to discuss sustainability, but also to experience it in everyday life.

What will participants learn?

Participants will explore how consumption affects people, communities, and the planet. They will learn how to make more conscious everyday choices, reduce waste, and apply more sustainable practices in different areas of life.

The exchange also encourages participants to share what they learn with friends, family, local communities, and online, helping to spread awareness and inspire positive change.

Who can take part?

We are looking for young people who:

  • are currently living in Germany
  • are 18 to 30 years old
  • are interested in sustainability and responsible consumption
  • are open to learning, sharing, and being part of an international group experience
